The Service provides information on a range of issues to give people the facts in order for them to make choices and decisions knowing that they have reliable information.
A number of people in the Borough are still not aware of their entitlement to certain benefits. We can help you with Attendance Allowance forms, Disability Living Allowance forms, Income Support, Housing and Council tax claims, social service provision, health and community care and general issues of importance to older people.
The service operates a home visiting service to those who are housebound, as well as outreach and regular surgeries.
We are proud of our success rate in obtaining attendance allowance awards for our elderly clients. Claiming benefits can be stressful to older people. Our aim is to take that stress away by helping you through the complex benefit system.
