Working with and for older people in Slough & Berkshire East
Welcome to the Age Concern Slough and Berkshire East website.
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of older people in Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead and the surrounding areas, and to help make their later life a rewarding and enjoyable time.
We aim to provide help and support on any issue of concern to older people. We try to ensure that the voice of older people is heard throughout the community and we campaign for better services and benefits.
Founded in 1979, ACSABE t is an independent registered charity (number 1079949) which is supported by the time, efforts and contributions of local people and organisations. As a charity, we rely on donations to help us carry on our vital work – we simply could not continue to provide the 32 services we currently deliver to older people in the community without the support of local individuals, companies and organisations.
Our ACSABE offices are located within the Age Concern William Street drop-in centre, which is in the Old Library, William Street, Slough. We are close by Slough Railway Station and Bus Station; buses also stop in Slough High Street and parking is available in Brunel, Queensmere, Observatory and Herschel Street car parks.
The ACSABE offices are open from 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, and the drop in centre is open from 10.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
Over fifties are always welcome to drop in and see what is going on.
