Age Concern Swansea operates under its Constitution (adopted in 2002), which states that its objective is "to promote the relief of older people in any manner which now or hereafter may be deemed by law to be charitable within the City and County of Swansea." It is managed by a Board of Trustees, who meet bi-monthly and are elected annually from Age Concern Swansea’s Membership. We continue to work in accordance with the Mission Statement, agreed in 1995, "to improve the welfare of older people in the area of benefit by working with and for them in ways commensurate with the Four Functions of Age Concern groups." In particular, we aim to help local older people to stay well, emotionally and physically, and living in their own homes for as long as possible.
