About Age Concern Torbay

Age Concern Torbay is a registered Charity, and has been working with older missionpeople in the Torbay area since 1980, helping them to get more out of life.

We are part of the Age Concern England federation, and subscribe to the Age Concern Mission, Principles and Values.

Age Concern Torbay is committed to making later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience for all older people in Torbay .

We seek to achieve this by providing a range of care and support services to empower and enable older people to continue to live full and active lives; to participate in community activity; and to remain in good mental and physical health for as long as possible.

An important part of our work is representing older people and making their views, wishes and needs known to the appropriate authorities in Torbay.  Through the Age Concern Federation we are also involved in campaigning on a range of key issues affecting older people.

The charity raises much of its income from trading and fundraising. We hope that you will support the charity by purchasing insurance and financial products, making donations and purchasing items from the charity shop, buying Christmas cards and taking part in fundraising events.

The organisation is very proud that over 100 people in Torbay volunteer to help the charity regularly. Volunteers work in every activity within the organisation and find the experience to be very rewarding.
