NEW MEMBERSHIP

14.04.2010

Age Concern Torbay is pleased to announce the launch of a new membership initiative and drive forward to better awareness and perception of the charity. We will be working to look at new and exciting ways to attract people to Age Concern.

We presently have over 200 members, but there are over 60,000 older people living in Torbay that we can help. Our aim is to generate new members and involve as many people as possible in the events and activities we have planned for 2010. Membership of Age Concern Torbay is available to anyone 55+in Torbay, and is free of charge.

A calendar of new events has been put together which breaks away from the usual offerings. New events include a weekly Lunch Club at the Half Moon in Paignton commencing on Wednesday 21st April. Various coach trips to destinations such as the Eden Project and National Trust properties are planned to run throughout the year. Computer classes are held regularly, and a Live Music evening is planned for later in the year.

This is a very exciting time for Age Concern Torbay and our team of staff and volunteers. We feel the new initiative give us the opportunity to deliver our services to the local community and really help make more of life for older people in Torbay.

To book for the luncheon club on Wednesday 21st April (2 course lunch, £4), or any of the other activities mentioned – please call into Age Concern Torbay, Sandwell House, 4 Dendy Road, Paignton, or telephone 01803 841837 or 01803 555181
